Smart House Integration for Energy Efficiency and Practicality

• Lighting Control
  • Outdoor lights on at sundown, off at 11pm
  • All indoor lights turn off at 8pm (bedtime) and 8:15am (leave for the day)
  • All lights turn off hourly from 11pm through 5am, in case someone gets up, turns on a light, and forgets to turn it off
  • Automated thermostats (can be over-ridden as needed)
  • Vacation mode for lights and thermostats
  • Away button – turns off all lights and AV as you leave the house, conveniently located in the garage
  • Good Night button – located by master bed, turns off all lights in the house, except night lights
  • “1st Floor Off” button at the bottom of the main stairs – turns off all lights on the 1st floor at any time
  • “2nd Floor Off” button at the bottom of the main stairs – turns off all lights on the 2nd floor after kids and adults are out of bed and moving on with the day
  • Pre-set scenes allowing lighting control over rooms and floors with the single touch of a button

  • Motion detectors and cameras to monitor kids when watching a movie in the theater
  • Video monitor of the youngest child’s room to monitor naps and play

• Audio
  • Buttons in many rooms to turn on music and control volume by room
  • Music “scenes” turn on the same source of music in multiple rooms
  • Sources available in 9 zones, including the backyard, all rooms on the 1st floor, and the master suite (including the shower and walk-in closet)
